Vancouver goalie Mark Segal makes 37 saves in 3-1 win over Prince George HED IS 74 CHARACTERS

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Vancouver's Mark Segal made 37 saves as the Giants beat the Prince George Cougars 3-1 in Western Hockey League action Friday night at CN Centre.

Craig Cunningham, Tomas Vincour and Brendan Gallagher did the damage for the B.C. Division-leading Giants.

Jaroslav Vlach replied for the Cougars, who are last overall in the league.

Both goaltenders were busy, as Kyle Jahraus finished with 40 stops for Prince George.

The Giants improved to 28-16-3 and the Cougars dropped to 9-34-2.

The teams will meet again Saturday at CN Centre.
